BABC/ Boston Bobcats 2018 Winter Preview

BABC and Boston Bobcats made waves during the fall when the announced they would join forces. This move not only affected the high school level but the middle school level as well. The biggest name is Reid Ducharme who has grown 5+ inches over the past year and has already made his mark with the Nobles team contributing right away as an 8th grader, similar to Shy Odom last year at Beaver Country Day. Reid will not be joining the team until this spring but there are pleanty of other players on this roster to keep an eye out over the next few years.

Ethan Robinson: A true 8th grader, Robinson already stands at 6’4 and is projected to grow another 3-4 inches. With a wide body and broad shoulders, Robinson is a force at this level from 15 in as he already knows how to use his body and has a great face up game. One of New England’s top 8th graders.

Reid Ducharme: After having grown well over 5 inches in the last year, Ducharme stands at 6’5 with one of the best looking shots in New England. Ducharme will spend the winter playing varsity basketball with Nobles before joining BABC/Boston Bobcats for the spring and summer.

Nate Robinson: Ethan’s twin brother, Nate stands at 6’1 but is yet another perimeter threat from 3. The lefty is very different from his brother as he is the team’s residential sniper.

Anthony Coke: Arguably the teams’ top defender, the 6’4 wing is long, athletic, and a nightmare at the top of BABC’s press. While Coke has a thin frame, he has guard skills and can shoot it from all three levels but is best in the midrange game. Coke is also very active defensively and holds a very high motor.

Kayvaun Mulready: A true point guard, Mulready has a high IQ to go along with his court vision and awareness. Controls the tempo of the game offensively while harassing the opposition with his size and length. A pass first point guard, Mulready has all the intangibles to be a high level floor general especially when you factor in he’s only 13 years old and already standing at 6’1

Jaden Simpkins: A 5’10 combo guard, Simpkins is another defensive standout for BABC. A “Marcus Smart” type player, Simpkins has shown the ability to turn primary ball handlers over and finish in transition with his strong build.
