NERR-TV Virtual Showcase announced for HoopRootz
For the last 14 years, the New England Recruiting Report has provided student-athletes with the opportunity to earn exposure to college coaches through the premier exposure events in the region, unparalleled media coverage, and one of the nation's largest scouting services.
But now, as the world deals with the pandemic of the coronavirus, the sporting world has come to a grinding halt as professional leagues, college athletics, and, of course, grassroots basketball have all shut down for the time being.
However, that doesn't mean that there aren't kids looking for exposure. In fact, NERR's unsigned senior virtual showcase has debuted to unexpected demand and correlating calls to duplicate those efforts at the middle school level.
With that in mind, HoopRootz has designed a comparable virtual platform to offer middle school aged players an alternative for the potential visibility to high school coaches, prep school coaches, AAU coaches, family, and friends.
The NERR-TV HoopRootz Virtual Showcase will include:
- Personalized highlight video
- Cover story on HoopRootz.TV
- A minimum of 3 social media posts
- Tailored content that can include stats, quotes, personal recommendations, stories, and/or academic information
That personalized content will be visible across all HoopRootz media platforms including:
- New England's only comprehensive website designed for middle school basketball
- Multiple social media accounts across various platforms including Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube among others
Answering questions about the new NERR-TV HoopRootz Virtual Showcase
Q: What ages is this for?
A: Any player in grades 5-8 is eligible. This is a program that debuted on NERR for unsigned seniors to unexpected popularity and so, due to demand, we are extending it to our HoopRootz ages as well.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: $195 is the total price, and that includes the cost of creating a highlight video. You're allowed to submit up to 3 game tapes and can pick the plays yourself, if you so choose, by sending us the times of the clips.
Q: What if I already have a highlight video?
A: If you have a video from the recent season that is posted on YouTube, Vimeo, or another outlet that allows the highlights to be embedded into a web page, you type the word "Video" into the coupon code and will pay a total price of $95.
Q: How do I register?
A: Click on the link at the top of the page that says "CLICK HERE TO REGISTER," complete the order details page, and complete check-out by submitting online payment with credit card through our PayPal system.
Q: What happens after I register?
A: You'll receive an email from us within 24 hours that allow you to identify all the areas you wish to promote as part of your virtual profile.
Q: When will my virtual profile be completed?
A: Profiles will be published on a first-come-first-serve basis. We are ready to work IMMEDIATELY and hope to have the first profiles up this week.
